Invocation to Patanjali
Yogena cittasya padena vacam
Malam sarirasyaca vaidyakena
Yopakarottam prvaram muninam
Patanjalim pranjaliranato'smi
Abahu purusakaram
Sankha cakrasi dharinam
Sahasra sirasam svetam
Pranamami Patanjalim
Hari om

To the noblest of sages, Patanjali, who gave us yoga for serenity of the mind, grammar for purity of speech and medicine for the perfection of the body, I salute.
I salute before Patanjali whose upper body has a human form, whose arms hold a conch, a disc and a sword, who is crowned by a thousand headed cobra. Oh incarnation of Adisesa, my humble salutations to thee.

Jain Bhrihat Santi (Jain Mantra for Peace)
Sivamastu sarvajagatah
parahitanirata bhavantu bhutaganah
doshah prayantu nasam
sarvatra sukhi bhavatu lokah

Let blessings go forth into the entire universe!
May everyone rise above self interest through feeling genuine concern for the well being of all;
May the mental veils which cloud our awareness, distort our understanding, and close our heart be completely removed from our consciousness;
Let everyone, everywhere live in peace and contentment, in health and in happiness, in abundant reverence for life.
Om, Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
